For the first time in their history, 4Rivers Smokehouse will be open on a Sunday
No, this is not a change in the 4Rivers business model. This is to raise funds funds for the victims and families of the tragic shooting at Orlando's Pulse Nightclub. Proceeds from the day will be donated through the One Orlando Fund.
Here is the text of John Rivers' announcement:
Friends and Colleagues,
The tragic events from last weekend will forever change our beloved city. Precious lives were lost and innocence was stolen by a senseless act of hatred and fear. Though we can’t change what
happened, through unity we can influence what comes from it. It’s times like these that define who we are and shape the very fabric of our community.
In that spirit, 4 Rivers Smokehouse for the first time will open its doors on a Sunday to raise funds for the victims of the tragic shooting at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub. The 4 Rivers Winter
Park location at 1600 W. Fairbanks Ave. will open this Sunday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for dine-in and call-ahead orders.
Proceeds from the day will go toward the Pulse victims and families through One Orlando Fund.
Myself and members of my family will be working in the restaurant, alongside current and past team members of the 4R family. I hope you will join us in taking a stand against this horrific act
of hate and in supporting those personally affected in its wake by stopping by on Sunday.
Together we can bring light into this darkness and together, our good city will prevail.
God Bless,
John Rivers
