Are you looking for festive holiday decorations or perhaps gifts for family or friends? If so, then now is the time to order a beautiful poinsettia plant from the Orange County 4-H Program.
Each year the Orange County 4-H Association sponsors the Poinsettia Sale to support 4-H youth development efforts. Proceeds from the annual sale provide scholarships and clover dollar awards to be used toward 4-H project activities. Our 4-H Clubs also share in the proceeds and earn nearly $3000.00 for the benefit of their 4-H members. As an added bonus, we offer the option to order a plant that will be donated to a local senior living facility to bring holiday cheer to the residents.
The Florida 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach and caring adults to help youth gain the knowledge and life skills they need to be productive, responsible citizens. In Orange County, kids can participate in 4-H through community clubs, after-school programs, summer camps, and school enrichment programs. The 4-H Program is open to youth ages 5-18 and offers project work in a wide variety of subjects to spark a desire to learn and do, and develop valuable life skills.
You can pre-order your poinsettia plants through the Eventbrite link below, or by stopping by the Orange County Extension Education Center to place your order in person. The pre-orders close on November 11, 2021. Plants will be available for pick-up on December 2nd (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and December 3rd (8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.).
