Take this time off school to set goals for second semester

Wolf Notes

From Caroll Grimando - Principal of Wolf Lake Middle School

We hope your holiday is off to a wonderful start! This is a great opportunity to spend time together and take a break from school and work. It is also a good time to review the 1st semester with your child and prepare for the demands and expectations of the 2nd semester. We have encouraged our students to set academic and behavior goals and this would be a great discussion for you to have with your child over the holiday break.

Here are some suggested questions:

What grades and/or subjects would you like to improve in the 2nd semester?

What is your goal? What would make you feel successful?

What could you do to reach that goal? (Be specific and name the behavior)

What could you stop doing in order to reach that goal?

Free after-school tutoring will also resume in the second semester and this is an opportunity for your child to receive assistance and extra practice in Language Arts and math.

Remember that students must come to class with the necessary supplies to eliminate lost instructional time. The supply list for each grade can be found below or on the Wolf Lake Middle School website. Teachers are finding that students do not have the basic supplies such as pencils, paper, and highlighters for class. Please ensure that your child comes to school with these items so that class time can be focused on learning. School supplies also make great stocking stuffers!

We continue to be proud of our Wolf Lake students and we look forward to a fantastic second semester! Have a great holiday break!
