The City of Apopka, the state of Florida, and our Country are in a National Crisis because too many people are sitting by watching bad things happen and not doing anything about it. They sit completely silent. It is time for "We The People" to rise and say no more!!

Mayor Nelson moved public comments to the end of the city council meeting to silence the community's voice. I challenge everyone to go to YouTube and watch the Apopka City Council meetings and see what is being said during public comments that Mayor Nelson doesn't want you to hear.

Here is a list of some concerns residents are complaining about.

1) Our beloved Firefighter working with no signed contract.

2)Mayor Nelson continues lying

3) challenges to getting public records

4)Inaccurate public comments recording for the minutes.

5)8.1 million dollar budget shortfall.

6)Hostile working environment

7)The need for a complete Forensic audit.

8)City staff undermanned (putting the city residents in danger)

9)About 150,000 dollars were allocated for our Homeless neighbor.

10)Indoor training facility for the APD.

11)Commissioners should be paid a stipend of a minimum of 75,000 dollars or half of the mayor's annual salary.

The Apopka City Council meeting is held on the 1st Wednesday(at 1:30 pm) and the 3rd Wednesday (at 7:00 pm) of each month. If you can't attend the meeting please go to the YouTube (Apopka City Council meeting) and watch online at your convenience.
