I am supportive of the appointment of Interim Chief Sanchez for Apopka FD & feel confident his leadership will help to unite Firefighters & build morale & trust within the ranks. Earlier this week, I congratulated Chief Sanchez for his willingness to step into this role. Serving as an elected official for our city & staff during the last 2 years, I was concerned with the low morale within the ranks, following the line of duty death of their beloved Firefighter Austin Duran, I pray for All our firefighters, May Apopka Firefighters welcome this opportunity to build trust & support. Congratulations Chief Sanchez.
