  1. We have gotten some sleep here in the living room. I was too afraid to actually go to bed. I finally fell asleep in the recliner. I am wide awake now, and it is approaching Brevard County, I understand. Close to 300 people confirmed dead in Haiti from this hurricane. It is going to be bad, but at least the color- coded map is showing us out of the red area, if that helps ease anyone’s mind, by any stretch of the imagination. A lady was electrocuted by a live power line after the storm, somewhere south of here, when she stepped outside to see the post- storm results.

  2. I can’t help but wonder where Katherine the Great is…..the big great white shark that prowls up and down the east coast. She is out there somewhere.

  3. I must lead a sheltered life. I just saw the Space X drone ship, for the first time in the newspaper, and I didn’t know anything about it. Not really my type of thing, so that is why, I guess. The name, drone, threw me off altogether. Drone ship?

  4. We are getting a lot more crime shows on the free tv than the cable. I watched one about this young good-looking Italian guy who bilked investors out of huge monies, while he lived a lavish lifestyle. His name was Follieri or something like that. Oh he was so fine, but just out for the gold. He made me think of Lorenzo Borghisi ,who I think is so fine too. I spelled both of them wrong. This guy stayed in a $37,000 a month high- rise tower. He had left staying at the Trump tower where he stayed with his parents, as it was beneath them, ha ha. Their only neighbor was an Arab sheik. Follieri’s girlfriend was none other than Ann Hathaway, the actress, with the long dark hair and wide smile. They went all over the globe living it up big time! They adopted a dog together, and went out on yachets (boats) can’t spell it, sorry. She ended up leaving him before he was arrested. He had started a children’s foundation, non-profit, to vaccinate children for diseases in poor countries. Former President Bill Clinton honored him at am event with a speech and he pledged 50 million to Clinton’s Foundation, but he never honored his pledge. He had nuns working for him and people tied to religious causes, and when they would go to cash their paychecks they would come back, NSF. By all accounts, he seemed like a very religious man, as he had bought two big churches and was Catholic and had religious candles and religious artifacts in his office and surrounding areas. He was suppose to be investing people’s money for them, for a return, but was living the high life, buying jewelry, expensive watches, high priced trips, and hotel rooms, expensive clothes, cars, etc. He had given Ann Hathaway all kinds of expensive jewelry, and it all had to go back in the end, and he had to forfeit millions of money, property, and goods. Darn, darn, darn, and he was so cute!

  5. That hurricane symbol above looks like one of those Oriental blade weapons you throw, LOL. It is going to be a long night and a long day tomorrow, unless it is not as bad as what they first claimed. I hope it is not!

  6. The Follieri scandal was named the Vati-Con scandal. You can look it up and get the facts. Follieri was suppose to invest in buying up Roman Catholic churches with the one investor’s money of 50 million. That was the meat of the case. Follieri was sentenced to four and a half years in prison, and at the end of the prison sentence was deported back to Italy. He lived in Manhatten when all this was going on. Ann Hathaway was not charged.

  7. The color- coded map earlier today of hurricane Matthew was said to show a skull, and went viral. It looked more like a dino head to me, with teeth! Eyes and teeth!

  8. Yeah, and it also looked more like a teenaged mutant ninja turtle with a bandana tied across it’s forehead than a skull. LOL

  9. I am bored out of my gourd here at home, waiting on this storm, so I know those people over at the Apopka High School hurricane shelter must be bored too, if not worse over there. I can at least drink a beer or a glass of wine, here at home, if I want, but they can’t, LOL, you know why? Because it is not City Hall………LOL !!! Heeeheeeheee………..!!!.

  10. Worse to come. Probably around 4 am and after. Hang on, we don’t know how it will be. Sanford showing some flooding and water up to the sides of small cars. Thug arrested breaking into a Dollar General in one city, while the world is at home. Transformers blowing out in some areas. Some places they will arrest you if you are out and about. The ultimate survivors will be the Everglade pythons, no doubt. I thought I just heard a wind chime, and I thought I had gotten all of them down………???

  11. I will be glad when it is daybreak. My husband is asleep. I am not sleepy at all. I just had a thought….what if this hurricane passed on after it did its dirty, and looped out in the ocean, and made a circle, and came back to punch us again?????

  12. The eye of the storm is getting closer to the south end of Brevard County, and it is weakening…..yes!!! Good news there!!! It is riding the coastline a little to the east. Yes, stay the course!

  13. I was feeling better about this storm then I viewed the video on Channel 6 of the roof ripped right off of a home in Exuma, Bahamas. Then they said those kinds of winds are now approaching us!

  14. I think we are going to be in for it in about an hour or two from now. It is moving on in, and I don’t know how bad it will be, but I have some big trees that could fall. My pets all are asleep, and snoozing away snoring. They said there were 4 known people in Brevard County along the coast who refused to evacuate. The county turned the water off. I don’t know if the county turned the power off, or the storm knocked it out, over in Brevard. The people who stayed were said to be regretting making that decision.

  15. I went to bed at about 4 am, and I have been awake for about an hour. I am watching the news reporters and their videos from Merritt Island, and from the seawall at Sanford. Looks so rough. Down at the hotel at 528 Beach Line and Highway 1, the big hotel sign has blown down. That hotel even took in people, in part of the hotel, making a shelter, feeding people, and also allowing their pets, plus rent the hotel rooms too.

  16. Monday I called the Duke Energy to come out, as the street light wire that goes to the end of our street on the pole, had gotten loose and slack, and it goes across the frontage of our house and it was so low that I could reach and touch it. That low, and it was across part of the cul-de-sac and I knew that this was going to cause a vehicle to run into it come dark if someone came flying down the road. I called it in, and no one came, and I called it back in twice more, and sure enough, they came and brought the lift truck, and tightened it back up, and packed around the pole. They said they would have to come back again for the other part up the alleyway. The guy said up in the alleyway a tree had fell, over the wire, and that was the problem. I was worried that a vehicle was going to hit it come dark, but they came after dark, and I am soooooo glad. We don’t have the street light working yet, but at least the low hanging wire was fixed before the hurricane.

  17. This curfew is kind of like home confinement minus the ankle bracelet. Can you imagine doing wrong, and being ordered by a judge to do home confinement for months and months on end? It is great to be home, and feel comfortable and safe, when you know the alternative, however, when you consider the people of the world, who do not have a home to go to. My power still keeps flickering, but has not gone out for good, as of yet. Knock on wood. My relatives are expecting me to call them, so I will have to soon. I hate to call because my ear will fall off, as we talk sooooo long, LOL. My old flip phone, my dino phone, if I talked on it too long would get hotter and hotter and I swear would cook my ear with radiation! I think the wind is getting worse now honestly, and it is a lot stronger right now than anytime previously during the night or this morning! I am afraid that big tree might fall, and if it does, OMG, that is heavy, heavy hardwood. The hurricane deductible on our homeowners insurance is a fortune! Just wait until the policy renews….OMG, people are getting where they can’t afford all these hefty insurance premiums on homeowners, cars, healthcare, etc….????????? Our auto policies just went up twenty dollars a month, and the company said it was a state regulated thing, that it was out of their control, and not anything about us or our driving. My healthcare went up about 40 dollars a month too.

  18. East side of river on US 1 in Scottsmoor, Florida…..guy on tv said trees down, just missed house, and many barns blown down in rural area! Hope the livestock is okay. Poor horses. A lot of horses over toward the back way to New Smyrna Beach.

  19. Some damage at NASA, roofs, and parked cars. Daytona has at least 4 reported trees on homes. Wow the wind is blowing the surf over the boardwalk at Daytona at the Hilton. Film shows a house fire at Satelite Beach in the dark, and the firefighters trying their best to put it out in the hurricane winds!

  20. The people with the metal detectors will be out and about as soon as possible along the beach hunting treasures, stirred up from the storm.
