From Goodwill Industries of Central Florida

Unemployment continues to be an issue in Central Florida, and there are still many people searching for their next job opportunity, making Goodwill’s job connection services more important than ever to the community. In fact, next Wednesday, August 18, the organization is teaming up with the Legal Aid Society to discuss sealing and/or expunging a criminal record. Research has shown that relief from the stigma associated with a criminal record leads to improved outcomes when seeking employment.

Also, with many jobs lost due to the pandemic, others may be searching for a new career path. Goodwill’s virtual job connection team will help anyone interested in pursuing different opportunities find what would suit best. And this Friday, the team will be offering tips for giving a strong interview to a potential employer.

Friday, August 13, 2021, 11:30am - 12:30pm Goodwill Industries of Central Florida’s will host a free webinar for job seekers on how to prepare for a successful interview. This virtual course will teach participants how to answer common interview questions and leave a good impression. The session will also focus on how to avoid the most common interview mistakes.
