Apopka's Autumn Rae Shannon in World Finals

Autumn Rae Shannon and her partner, Micaela Joseph, have made it to the finals of the World Performing Arts Championships in the Junior Vocal Group category.

The World Championships of Performing Arts is the only international performing arts talent competition and educational experience of its kind held annually in Hollywood, CA. WCOPA is an innovative, "World Talent Contest," with entertainment industry professionals invited to judge, conduct seminars and sign talent.

Each year, countries send their best and most outstanding talent to the U.S.. During a week of events, competitors go head to head “Olympic-style” in a wide variety of competitions. In each category there's a contest of skills to see who is truly the most accomplished in the world. Each winner gets a coveted gold medal which brings with it the respect and admiration of people around the world along with potentially a career opportunity of a lifetime including over $300,000 in scholarships.

The finals will begin at 7:00 PM PDT tomorrow night at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center Terrace. There will be a live broadcast via the web site at www.wcopa.com and also available using the WCOPA App.

Autumn Rae is a ten year old triple threat: Singing, dancing and acting. She has been singing since age two and a half and publicly performing since she was four. In 2014, at age eight, Autumn Rae took first place for the USA for vocals at WCOPA in Los Angelas then competed against 49 other country winners.

She has performed live for thousands of people at many venues including; Maile's Events, Orlando Magic, Orlando City Soccer, weddings, festivals. She has worked many fundraisers such as Rotary Club of Windermere's Springfest and Apopka Relay for Life.

She has been in several commercials, feature films, and shorts. She co-starred in Hollywood with David Arquette. Autumn Rae is an award winning dancer and singer. She has been writing and recording originals since age five. This summer she released her single "Back Where I Belong", and the video for her new single "I Wish I Could Fly."
