Rep. Daniel Webster speaking in Apopka

Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center presents its First Annual Benefit Breakfast featuring the Congressman as its keynote

Posted

The Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center in Apopka is holding its First Annual Benefit Breakfast featuring keynote speaker US Congressman Daniel Webster, and you're invited.

What is the Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center?

Teresa Sawyer, the founder and CEO, shares on the Center's website that it came from a place of personal journey and pain at the beginning, but a place God transformed into wisdom, experience and opportunities that now brings healing and hope to others.

She writes, "At 16, I found myself in an unforeseen pregnancy and was forced to abort my child... This heartbreak took me on a journey where I found Christ...." She shares how her journey through the heartbreak and the healing eventually brought multiple joys and blessings, including a marriage of now 27+ years, three children through adoption, and one through a fertility clinic.

This path from pain to purpose included starting her own businesses, serving in church ministry leadership positions, and maybe most importantly, volunteering in pregancy centers - including co-directing one - so she could help other women in similar situations experience their own journey from heartbreak to healing.

It's amazing how true this scripture can be in life: "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others." Which is exactly what happened next.

Sawyer felt her calling to start the Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center, a 501c3 nonprofit ministry right in the heart of Apopka, and she's so glad she did. Every day as she receives calls for help and opens the Center to another and another and another in need, she knows she is right where she needs to be.

She also knows, from her own experiences, that she can't do it alone. "As I step out in faith with God's vision," she writes, "I am hopeful that you will join me and together we will accomplish all that He has for us to do, as good and faithful servants.”

This benefit is a kickstart to that community support.

What is this benefit breakfast about?

Above & Beyond is committed to aiding women facing unforeseen pregnancies, and the team is hoping that - if this is a cause you care about - you'll  join them in supporting their mission.

"Engage with us and your community to support the causes you are passionate about. Join us for breakfast with keynote speaker Congressman Daniel Webster to learn more about Amendment 4 in order to make informed decisions for our country’s future. And come out to support us in this fundraiser to help women in our community. Partner with us to make a positive difference in young women’s lives."

If you're not sure who Webster is, maybe this will help jog your recollection. Webster has been in the US House of Representatives since 2010 and has represented District 11 (which includes all of Apopka) since 2016. In the 118th Congress, he serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and as chairman of the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation.

Register to attend this benefit no later than August 12. You can go directly to Above & Beyond's website - PutLoveInAction.org - or scan their QR code here to RSVP. To attend this benefit breakfast w/keynote speaker it is $25/person, or best donation, to secure your seat at a table:

A litle bit more about the Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center...

Their mission is to aid women in the community facing unforeseen pregnancies. Its aim is to offer love and compassion to all, equipping them with tools, resources, and education to help them make decisions that affirm life.

Its vision is to reach more women, men, families, and future children in the community and empower women to make positive decisions through ultrasound viewings, consultations with advocates, and raising awareness about the value of life. Its role is not only to provide free services to confirm and affirm life but also to foster relationships and lock arms with the local churches, businesses, and organizations that share in its mission.

Above & Beyond Pregnacy Center is here to provide hope and help to those facing an unforeseen pregnancy, and does so by way of providing many free services including:

  • Pregnancy Tests
  • Reversal Pill
  • Educational Programs
  • Community Referrals
  • Baby Supplies
  • Options Counseling
  • Post-Abortion Recovery
  • Ultrasounds (coming soon)

Per their website, "every 20 seconds in the U.S., a baby is lost to abortion. That adds up to 1.2 million lives lost each year, and more than 90,000 of those abortions take place in Florida, with about 13,000 of those happening right here in the greater Orlando area.

But YOU can change that!

When you partner with us, your support empowers Central Florida women and men to choose life for their unborn babies and to find love in Christ."

You can partner and support by becoming a volunteer or advocate

You can partner and support their work by donating, knowing every amount helps.

You can partner and support by attending their First Annual Benefit Breakfast

Or, you can do all three... or four or five other ways. Check out their Get Involved page for more ideas.

However you want to support them, they're ready to bring hope and healing with you by their side.
