Orange County Clerk of Courts can help residents get back on the road

Posted

Having a driver's license is a crucial aspect of modern life.

It represents independence and freedom and opens the doors to new opportunities, such as better jobs and travel. However, there are more reasons to keep your driver's license than just convenience.

A driver's license is an essential form of identification and is required for many everyday activities, such as opening a bank account, renting a car, or applying for a job. Furthermore, it is a legal document that proves you have passed the necessary tests to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly.

Therefore, it is crucial to maintain a valid driver's license and keep it up to date.

The Orange County Clerk of Courts can help residents with suspended driver's licenses get on a payment plan anytime. This is the first step to get back in the driver’s seat.

“They don’t have to wait for a special event,” said Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell. “We can always help customers year-round with outstanding traffic tickets and criminal fines get on a payment plan and get back on track to get their driver’s license reinstated.”

Customers may be eligible to waive certain collection fees, get on a payment plan, and reinstate their suspended driver's licenses if all requirements are met. A payment plan requires a down payment, and reinstatement fees are applicable.  Affordable down payments are available.

The Clerk’s Office helps hundreds of thousands of people in Orange County throughout the year with overdue traffic tickets or criminal fines whose driver's licenses have been suspended.

To see if you are eligible for a payment plan, email our Court Compliance division or come to the downtown Orlando courthouse suite 410 to request a Payment Plan contract.
