The $1,000 Alice B. Miner Scholarship is presented each year by the Northwest Orange Republican Women, Federated (NORWF).

The scholarship is presented in the name of Alice B. Miner, well-known Apopka elementary school educator who was actively involved in the Apopka area community and who was a charter member of NORWF .

NORWF, president, Joyce Brocker, noted that this is the 10th year that NORWF has helped deserving young Republicans towards achieving their educational goals.

The applicant must be a registered Republican. For more information about the application and other guidelines that apply, go to the club's website.

The application can be downloaded from that site also.
