Apopka residents Simon and Susan Veness will be at the Downtown Orlando Visitor Center (201 Orange Ave, Suite 102) on September 10 from 8:00-10:30am for the official launch of their new book, 111 Places in Orlando That You Must Not Miss. The event is part of the Downtown Employee Appreciation Week and Simon and Susan will be in the Visitor Center to sign copies of the book, which will be for sale in the gift shop.
111 Places in Orlando That You Must Not Miss is a completely new take on The City Beautiful and its surrounding cities and districts. It features places of historic, cultural or artistic value, as well as the offbeat and downright quirky, from the Lake Eola Ghost Dog to Kelly Springs Park, and the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive to the rarities of the Disney Collection at Orlando Public Library.
Even better, anyone buying a copy on Tuesday morning will be able to get a 25% discount as part of the Employee Appreciation Week events.
