Posted

The role of an advertising and marketing representative for an online news site like The Apopka Voice involves a diverse skill set.

To excel, it's important to have strong leadership and communication skills, creativity, strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of the Apopka business community. By effectively managing marketing and advertising efforts, you can help drive business growth and serve the community with integrity.

The Apopka Voice is lucky enough to have found two people that fit that description.

After working with The Apopka Voice for a year, Megan Garcia is making a move to pursue other opportunities.

"My time with The Apopka Voice is one that I will always be so proud of!" Garcia said. "The opportunity I have had to connect with dozens of businesses in my hometown has made for a fuller life as many relationships have blossomed through those connections! I am so proud of the additions I am leaving behind with The Apopka Voice and look forward to those additions growing into more opportunities for this incredible business and its partners! I am super excited for my next chapter in life as I enter into opportunities that might not be possible if it were not for the support Reggie and Denise have so generously provided me!"

"Megan has been a pleasure to work with, and we know many of you enjoyed her friendly, informed and professional skill set as much as we have!" Denise Connell, The Apopka Voice Publisher said. "We feel so privileged to have worked with her this past year, and are truly grateful for all she built up and developed during her time with us, from strategically-sound and inspiring advertising packages, to valued relationships and partnerships in the community. We're excited for her next career chapter and truly wish her all the best with many successes ahead!"

"Megan is a true talent who flourished atThe Apopka Voice and will no doubt move on successfully to other challenges in the future," said Managing Editor Reggie Connell. "We look forward to witnessing her emerging career."

Megan makes way for another talented Apopkan - Mark Goldstein.

Mark is best described as a “people helper”. He has an intense passion to help others succeed in business, nonprofits, and/or ministry by developing and implementing creative marketing strategies.

"Reggie and I have known Mark for almost 20 years now, professionally, in ministry together, and as a cherished friend," said Denise. "We truly feel blessed that this opening and his availability came together to create an opportunity to be able to work together again. Mark comes with a wealth of business development and marketing acumen, along with vast experience that will carry forward and expand upon the foundations Megan put in place."

Mark has over 40 years of experience in sales and marketing which includes broadcast media, print, home-based, internet, trade show, and for 11 years served as the president of the Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce.

“Although I’ve been a resident of Apopka for nearly 30 years, this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity and privilege to serve the community I love," Goldstein said.

On behalf of Denise and I, The Apopka Voice welcomes Mark Goldstein aboard, and wishes Megan Garcia the best of look and future success as she moves forward.

If your marketing is not bringing you the results you need, Mark will be happy to meet with you to review what you're currently doing to share observations and recommendations to help you realize the success you deserve. He's already hit the ground running, so you'll be hearing from and hopefully meeting him soon.
