Lifescaping Series – A Guide to a Healthy Florida Lifestyle
Join our team of Extension Agents to learn about growing your own food, what’s new in nutrition, financial health, garden stretches, mindfulness and more! What to do in the Summer Vegetable Garden
Orange County Extension Agent Ed Thralls will be presenting information about what to do in the vegetable garden in the summer. Summers are tough on the gardener and the vegetable garden crops. Learn basic information about which vegetables will do well, and which will be a challenge. Learn to work with the season in the Central Florida vegetable garden. This will be a virtual presentation. First Time Homebuyer Workshop 6/10/2021 (One Time Session)
Orange County Extension Agent Jenny Rodriguez will be presenting about the steps to home ownership and how to obtain an affordable mortgage in this online 1- part class.
This virtual class is 1 session, offered via Zoom. The class link will be emailed upon registration.
Registration fee is per individual. One set of educational materials per registration.
UF/IFAS Extension Orange County is a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling agency. The homebuyer workshop meets the education requirements for down payment assistance programs. Participants will be mailed a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop after all class requirements are met. $10 fee per person. So You Want to Start a Community Garden?
Orange County Extension Agent Ed Thralls will be presenting information about growing vegetables in a community garden. Learn about the ten steps to a successful community garden, what resources are available from the community and how to get started. Saturday, June 12, 2021, 9:00am – 10:00am. $5 fee. Composting and Rain Barrels
Orange County Extension Agent Ed Thralls will be presenting information about how to turn your plant and kitchen waste material into compost and reduce the waste load going to the landfill.
