Updating Breaking News: 17-year-old driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Apopka
According to the Apopka Police Department, the single-vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of West Kelly Park Road and Chandler Road.

Officers from the Apopka Police Department responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the report, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Apopka Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash at Kelly Park Road and Chandler Road.
The driver, a 17-year-old male, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was airlifted to a local trauma center and pronounced deceased from the injuries he suffered in the collision.
Upon the APD's preliminary investigation, it was determined that the deceased had been reported as a missing person and was operating a stolen vehicle at the time of the crash.
This is an ongoing investigation; further notifications will be provided as they become available.
The APD did not release the name of the driver.
