Apopka Burglary Report: Week Ending - 10/17/2016

The Apopka Burglary Report for the week 10/10/2016 - 10/17/2016 shows 24 burglaries reported in the City of Apopka.

24 Burglaries is double the reported from the previous week. After several weeks of single-digit reports Vehicle Burglaries have more than tripled to 17.

Michael McKinley, Apopka's Chief of Police has asked us to remind everyone that many of this weeks vehicle burglaries could have been prevented if everyone remembers to do two things:

  • Remove all valuables from your vehicle
  • Lock your car doors

The Breckenridge subdivision off of Boy Scout Rd., east of the 451, was targeted by burglars and the Apopka Police Department was called out on 5 Vehicle Burglaries in the neighborhood. With 24 burglaries, it's safe to say all of Apopka was targeted last week. No other clusters are mapped as the burglaries were spread pretty evenly across town.

The breakdown of the burglaries reported to the Apopka Police Department last week:

      • 2 - Business
      • 5 - Residential
      • 17 - Vehicle
