Apopka Blue Darters Sport Highlights

Congratulations to the Blue Darter Wrestling team who beat West Port High School as well as seven other High School teams to bring home the District title on Saturday.

Apopka Archery Team is Right on Target

Apopka archery students started strong this year in a tournament last Saturday at Windermere Preparatory School. Apopka played in three matches, one against ICS, Lake Mary and Windermere. First match of the year, Apopka beat ICS 5-1, second match Apopka beat Lake Mary 4-2. In Apopka's final match of the day, the score was tied 3-3, then lost in a shoot off that was extremely close.

Kevin Renard and Jacob Ledford both ended the day as undefeated 3-0 in individual competitions. Brianna Sanders and Alease Folts finished 2-1. The team of David Britzius, Ethan Cote, and Kylie McCuiston finished the day 2-1. Finally, newcomers Hailey Shaw, Pablo Perez, and Zach McDonald got some experience as they contributed in the team portion of the competition.

Way to go Apopka's Archery Team on a fantastic start this season! Apopka's next competition is this Wednesday at Lake Highland Prep, followed by a huge tournament this Saturday at Lake Mary.

Apopka Tennis Teams WIN!

Both teams picked up a victory this week in our only match against Jones High School. The Girls (3-2) had wins in singles by Alexis Page, Tatiana Robson, Madison Clemens and Vanessa Garcia. The Darters also won both doubles matches with Madison / Quinlan Nguyen and Vanessa / Anya Rambaram getting the wins.

The Boys team (2-3) had wins in singles by Vikram Patel, Malikai Johnson, Jalen Green and Keenon Tobin. The Boys also won both doubles played by Jalen / Jose Saborit and Keenon / Bryan Reaves. Next match will be at Home next Thursday against Lake Minneola High School.

Apopka Lacrosse

Tuesday was a home game for Apopka's amazing boys Lacrosse teams. Stephen Schloneger comments, “I felt like we worked as a team to come back in the second half of the game. Overall, we had great communication and I am ready to win the next match!” Varsity lost their match 7-8 while JV pulled through and won the match with a score of 10-8.
