Sonny’s BBQ is thrilled to announce the launch of Spirit of BBQ: Giving Tuesday Day Edition, a nonprofit contest. Beginning November 1, Sonny’s BBQ encourages nonprofits and their supporters, as well fans of Sonny’s from near and far to nominate their favorite nonprofit for a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000 or $500, which will be available for the four runner-ups.

“We’re all about giving and supporting our neighbors at Sonny’s BBQ,” said Montana Coleman, Public Relations & Events Manager of Sonny’s BBQ. “The Spirit of BBQ: Giving Tuesday Edition is an initiative that truly embodies our heart for our communities, and it will allow nonprofits and the community to showcase just how great they really are. It’s an honor for us to be able to help charitable organizations thrive.”

How to Nominate:

On November 1, visit this link to nominate a nonprofit. The first nomination round will be open until November 10. The five nonprofit finalists will be announced on November 16 for the voting round. The grand prize winner and the four runner-ups will be announced on Giving Tuesday, November 27 via Sonny’s BBQ Facebook page.

Spirit of BBQ: Giving Tuesday Edition Contest Criteria:

Nonprofits must meet the following qualifications

• Local and community-centric: Must be located and/or provide support within Sonny’s BBQ footprint (Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama)

• Registered 501(c)(3) with active status

• Aligns with the values at Sonny’s BBQ: be passionate, do cool stuff and have the most fun, be trustworthy, and put others first
