From the St. John's River Water Management District
The St. Johns River Water Management District is giving away limited edition geocache coins to adventurers visiting district recreational public lands between June 21 and Aug. 18. The first 50 people who visit at least three different district lands and post a collection of “selfies” in front of the properties’ entrance signs on district social media sites are eligible.
“We are always looking for new, fun ways to encourage people to explore our public lands and enjoy the outdoors,” said St. Johns River Water Management District Executive Director Dr. Ann Shortelle. “While the real rewards are the good times and memories you can make in these beautiful, natural settings, the commemorative geocache coin is a great token of time spent well. We look forward to seeing the selfies from your adventures on district lands!”
Official rules are online at www.sjrwmd.com/lands/recreation/summer-challenge/ and include:
The challenge is open to individuals over 18. Those under 18 need permission to participate from a parent or legal guardian.
The first 50 entrants who meet requirements win. The prize is one district geocaching coin per person. Contest ends Aug. 18, which is National Geocaching Day.
Please review the rules and eligibility requirements online and be sure to bring drinking water and wear appropriate clothing, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
