An early morning crash just west of Apopka resulted in the death of the driver according to The Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of a 2002 Ford Focus crashed into a tree, and the vehicle caught fire. The crash happened about 1:45 a.m. on Round Lake Road near Meadowland Drive, according to the FHP. The driver was traveling southbound on Round Lake Road approaching Meadowland Drive. For an unknown reason, he drove off the roadway. The front of the vehicle struck a tree, and then caught fire.

At this time, the driver 's name is not being released. This crash remains under investigation.
