Orange County’s 6th Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration 

WHAT: Orange County invites residents to the 6th annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebration. The event is free and open to the community, featuring various cultural performances in music and dance, as well as a children’s art exhibit. Breakfast will be available. 

The event, now in its sixth year, is coordinated by the Orange County Asian Committee, an employee-based volunteer organization formed in 2012 with the goal of promoting and preserving the heritage and culture of Asian Americans, forming partnerships throughout the community and building relationships with local and international governments. 

WHEN: Tuesday, May 8, 2018 

Breakfast: 7:20 – 10 a.m. Program: 7:20 – 8:55 a.m. Proclamation Ceremony: 9 – 9:15 a.m. (inside the Board of County Commissioners Chambers) 

*Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs will speak at 8:30 a.m.

Here is the mystery of the day question……what the heck is that big billboard advertising, that is right past the 3 Star Flea Market on 441, as you are heading to Apopka from the Lockhart area, that is on the same side of the highway as the flea market, right past it, near the car dealer lots? It is a very endearing scene, but what does it advertise? The scene on the billboard also does not have any famous iconic symbols ( that I noticed, as we passed by) if you initially think it is somewhere we all know very well around this area…. Maybe I missed something, as I passed by?
