The Apopka Burglary Report for the week 10/18/2016 - 10/24/2016 shows 14 burglaries reported in the City of Apopka.
For the first time since this past spring there were no Business Burglaries reported during the week. For the second time in as many months the number of Residential Burglaries has outnumbered the number of Vehicle Burglaries. It is also only the second time this has occurred in 2016.
No one area seemed to be targeted. Vehicles and Residences were burglarized randomly across the city, although there were three Vehicle Burglaries in the downtown area (north of 441 between Hawthorne and Highland).
Apopka Chief of Police Michael McKinley has asked us to remind everyone that many of this week's vehicle burglaries could have been prevented if everyone remembers to do two things:
