WUCF’s Central Florida Roadtrip rides into Apopka on Thursday, September 19 at 8 p.m. The show is taking the audience on a journey through history and telling the stories of the people and events that shaped Orange County’s second-largest city, Apopka.

Explore foliage, feathers and furry friends in this episode of Central Florida Roadtrip. The episode also takes a look at the legacy of former Apopka Mayor John Land. Did you know? Apopka is considered a haven for football talent. Over the years, 23 Apopkans have gone on to play in the National Football League. More fun facts and artifacts on our journey through history!

  1. Good thing the road is for later, because today from Apopka west on 441 all the from Plymouth to Zellwood at Sadler intersectionis a very backed up slow roll due to road construction. Heading on toward Mt. Dora is bumpy and bad too. I wish I would have known ahead of heading this direction.

  2. I meant, good thing the road trip visiting Apopka is for later……I see other typo misspellings, sorry, letters are magically disappearing and appearing posting. LOL
