WUCF’s Central Florida Roadtrip rides into Apopka on Thursday, September 19 at 8 p.m. The show is taking the audience on a journey through history and telling the stories of the people and events that shaped Orange County’s second-largest city, Apopka.

Explore foliage, feathers and furry friends in this episode of Central Florida Roadtrip. The episode also takes a look at the legacy of former Apopka Mayor John Land. Did you know? Apopka is considered a haven for football talent. Over the years, 23 Apopkans have gone on to play in the National Football League. More fun facts and artifacts on our journey through history!

Hosted by WUCF Executive Director Dr. Phil Hoffman and produced by veteran television journalist Buddy Pittman, Central Florida Roadtrip explores the communities and history across the nine-county Central Florida area.
