Last week, WLMS Junior Beta Club attended the National Junior Beta Club State Convention under the sponsorship of Ms. Kelly Garland, Ms. Chandrieka Palmer, and Ms. Terri Rawls. Please congratulate the following students who placed at this state competition. These students have moved on and are eligible to compete at the national level at the National Junior Beta Convention that will be held June 25 - June 28, 2017.

Testing Headphones
Many upcoming state tests will be computer-based, and will require your child to listen to multimedia presentations. WLMS will provide a pair of headphones to any student who needs them on the day of testing. However, if you would like your child to use their own set of headphones or earbuds, please make sure to send them with a pair on the day of the test. Thank you!
Wolf Lake Middle School's Junior Beta Club
This past Monday and Tuesday, Wolf Lake Middle School Junior Beta Club attended the National Junior Beta Club State Convention held at the Renaissance Resort Hotel at Sea World. There were over 2000 students and 45 schools represented at the state convention. Students competed in various arts, talent, and academic competitions.
AVID
Wolf Lake Middle School's AVID students proudly represented our school and were featured in Valencia's Newsletter. Students visited Valencia's West Campus for an A.S. Experience and a first-hand look at some of their awesome programs!
FFA
Wolf Lake Middle School's FFA competed on December 1 in the Florida FFA Citrus Evaluation and Middle School Tool Identification Career Development Events at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, FL. The FFA competed in the state Citrus Evaluation contest.

We are very proud to announce that Kendall Lindsay, FFA Chapter President from Wolf Lake MS FFA, earned the state high individual score honor from a group of 81 FFA students who competed from across the state. Kendall and all participants had to take a comprehensive exam on the Florida citrus industry as well as correctly identify over 130 citrus fruit, pests, pathogens, parasites, diseases, leaves, rootstocks and common weeds.
