Voter Registration Deadline is Tomorrow

The Deadline to Register to vote is 5:00 PM Tomorrow.

There are 2 issues on the March 15th ballot:

• Apopka Municipal (City Council) Elections
• Florida's Presidential Preference Primary (PPP)

In order to vote in the Apopka City Council Elections you must live and be registered to vote in the City of Apopka. Just because you have an Apopka address does not mean you are a resident or a voter in the City of Apopka. The link above will show you if you are registered to vote in the City of Apopka.

By now it should be easy to know if you live in the City of Apopka. If your trash and recycling carts have blue and green lids you are probably NOT living in the City of Apopka and are not eligible to vote in next month's Municipal (City Council) Election. Still, it is best to check your status using this link: Voter Registration Status.

If you want to vote in the Florida Presidential Preference Primary you must be affiliated with a political party. Florida is a "closed" primary state. This means that only registered Republicans can vote for the Republican candidates and only registered Democrats can vote for the Democrat Candidates.

If you moved since the last election you should update your address with the Supervisor of Elections.

If you need to register or change your party affiliation the deadline is 5:00 PM Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 16, 2016).

Registration forms are available at City Hall and any Orange County Library location. You can also use this link to download the Voter Registration Form.

The signed form must be dropped off at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 119 West Kaley Street in Orlando or at any Orange County Library Location before 5:00 PM Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 16, 2016).

The Supervisor of Elections office encourages voters to drop the signed forms in person. If you choose to mail the form it must be Postmarked no later than Tuesday, February 16, 2016. The mailing address is:
