UCF Provides Free Health Screenings For Apopka Farmworkers

Students and faculty from UCF’s medical, nursing and social work schools will provide free medical care July 26 and 28 for farmworkers in the Apopka area. The University of Florida’s pharmacy school will also be participating.

The following services will be provided:

  • Primary care
  • Pediatrics
  • OB-GYN
  • Dermatology
  • Physical therapy
  • Ophthalmology
  • Occupational medicine services
  • Screenings for pesticide exposure

The event is organized as a joint effort by the College of Medicine’s MedPACT group (Medical Students Providing Across Continents) and the UCF College of Nursing, UCF College of Social Work, UCF Physical Therapy, and UF College of Pharmacy.

WHEN: July 26 and 28, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM

WHERE: Apopka Farmworkers Association, 1264 Apopka Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703
