North Shore trailhead closing for bridge repairs

The North Shore Trailhead, located within the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Lake Apopka North Shore, will temporarily close to accommodate bridge repairs within the property.

WHAT: Temporary trailhead closure

WHEN: Dec. 19th–22nd from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

WHERE: North Shore Trailhead at Lake Apopka North Shore

Visitors who want to use the trailhead during the scheduled maintenance must enter the parking area before 10 a.m. and be prepared to stay until after 2 p.m., or enter after 2 p.m. Alternative trailheads on the popular 20,000-acre Lake Apopka North Shore, including Clay Island, Green Mountain Scenic Overlook, Magnolia Park and Wildlife Drive trailheads, will remain open.

The St. Johns River Water Management District is one of five districts in Florida managing groundwater and surface water supplies in the state.
