On Wednesday evening State Representative Jennifer Sullivan meet with about 40 supporters in the Seacoast Bank lobby in Apopka. Sullivan is the incumbent in the race to represent District 31, which includes most of Apopka north of 441 and 436.

Sullivan eventSullivan was introduced by Apopka insurance agent, Shren Yeager. She provided the group with a brief overview of her work in Tallahassee during the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.

She told the group that one of the things she has taken away personally from the past two years. "It is not enough to be a conservative and principled person," said Sullivan. "It's also really important to be effective. That does not mean you compromise your principles to be effective. When we look at our state and our nation we cannot afford to not be effective. If we are not effective we will lose ground; taxes will go up and we will lose jobs."

Many of those listed on the announcement of the "Meet-And-Greet Fundraiser" as the Host Committee were in attendance. Many took advantage of the "meet-and-greet" aspect of the event to spend a few minutes speaking one-on-one with Representative Sullivan.
