Yard of the Month

The Foliage Garden Club of Apopka recognizes Joe Hamilton, homeowner in the Sweetwater Park Village Place subdivision, as recipient of the club's Yard of the Month for May.

The presentation was made by Charlotte White and Eleanor Jones, committee members, Jo Oliver, committee chair and Pat Raub, club president.

The Foliage Garden Club of Apopka serves the community with beautification projects for areas of the city, scholarships, and member’s education classes, Yard of the Month recognition and the Wekiva Youth Camp. The goals of the club are to promote conservation of wildflowers, trees, and wildlife; cooperate with other service clubs in community activities, especially those related to the beautification of the city; observe Arbor Day with tree plantings; Continue contributions to Garden Club related projects such as the Wekiva Youth Camp, Nature Conservancy, and others; further, instruct our members in horticulture, floral design, and conservation.
