Women's Club Scholarship Applications Now Available

Each year the GFWC Apopka Woman’s Club offers two scholarships to young women from Apopka.

Applicants for the High School Student Scholarship must be female and be a resident of Apopka and attending Apopka High School or zoned for Wekiva High School throughout both her junior and senior high school years. The applicant must be seeking a college education, and have a definite need for financial scholarship assistance to further her education. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, submit a transcript of grades, and submit three letters of recommendation. A photo is appreciated but not required.

The Application Deadline is March 28, 2016.

Applicants for the Special Adult Woman’s Scholarship must be female, must be age 19 years or above pursuing a non-degree certification or license in a vocational or technical program. The Applicant must be a resident of Apopka now and for the last two years.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is March 31, 2016.

The scholarships will be awarded on at the Apopka Woman’s Club Dinner Meeting on April 19, 2016, at 6:00 PM.

Applications are available at the Apopka High School and the Wekiva High School Guidance Counselors’ offices.
