The Wekiva Riverwalk Shopping Center in Apopka is up for sale, according to the website citybiz.com.

Woolbright Development, owners of Wekiva Riverwalk, chose JLL Capital Markets to sell the 235,390 square-foot shopping center.

And based on past performance, it should not be a difficult task.

Wekiva Riverwalk had over 2.1 million visits in the last 12 months. It's located at the intersection of SR-436 and Wekiva Springs Road, which has a combined daily traffic count of 82,000 vehicles. Opened in 1989 and renovated in 2021, Wekiva Riverwalk is 100% leased, and home to Sprouts, Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross Dress for Less, Regal Cinemas, Petco, Ulta Beauty, and Five Below.

According to the Woolbright website, it is a leading real estate investment firm that acquires and develops neighborhood and community shopping centers throughout Florida's major metro market areas, including Orlando, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville. The recent renovation included new landscaping, color schemes, parking lot, and new anchor tenants, and several strong local restaurants are creating tremendous foot traffic and an ideal setting for retailers.

JLL released the following statement in its listing of the property:

"Apopka boasts average household incomes exceeding $92,000 within a three-mile radius of the property, greatly outpacing the overall metropolitan statistical area. Additionally, the surrounding area is set for continued growth, with nearly 6,000 new residential units either under construction or planned within five miles of the property. The retail center also benefits from an extended drawing radius to the north and west, as there are no other specialty grocers and the nearest movie theaters are more than 10.5 miles away in Lake Mary to the north and Mount Dora to the northwest."

Citybiz.com covers business news in 21 regions in the US including South Florida.

According to its website, JLL is a leading professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management. It is a Fortune 500 company with annual revenue of $16.6 billion, operations in over 80 countries, and a global workforce of more than 95,000.

I noticed that they cut the palm trees down outside of the King Buffet. I don't know why, I thought they were pretty there, and they looked healthy too.
