Road Closure Alert: South Binion Road
Yesterday at 4 PM, a contractor for the Eden Crest development accidentally drilled through an Apopka sewer force main pipe at the intersection of Binion Road and Emerald Grove Street north of Boy Scout Road.
A Public Services maintenance team from the City of Apopka stopped the leak around midnight.
The road is currently closed, as maintenance teams continue to repair the road and pipe. At this time, please avoid the area and follow the detour signs.
Traffic traveling north on Binion Road will detour onto Boy Scout Road, and traffic traveling south on Binion Road will detour onto Lust Road. The road is anticipated to be reopened later today.
