Orange County Clerk hosts Operation Green Light in April

Get your license reinstated and back on the road

Posted

In 1958, Operation Greenlight was a top-secret CIA program that saw the insertion of nuclear devices within every major European city as an ultimate endgame to a Soviet invasion of Europe. The project was authorized by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Today's Operation Green Light isn't quite as mysterious as its Cold War namesake, but still important to drivers that have had their driver's license suspended. In Florida, Operation Green Light is a driver license reinstatement event held annually to reduce the number of driver license suspensions and give individuals with suspended driver licenses the chance to save on certain fees
