One way to honor those who gave their lives protecting ours is to watch a really good war movie.

Here is a list, for the most part, of family-friendly war movies. Some do contain rough language. The list tries to avoid films with gratuitous violence. The violence in the films listed clarifies the horror of war while indicating the necessity to battle evil in order to preserve the good.
