Posted

Friends of Children and Families (FCF), a non- profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk children and their families and give them the opportunity to develop into well-adjusted and productive members of society, has posted two job openings for a Family Educator and Case Coordinator. The descriptions are listed below.

About FCF

FCF provides Residential Group Homes, Outpatient Counseling, Rapid Response, and Mentoring. Both the Rapid Response and Mentoring services are provided on a referral basis at this time.

FCF offers Residential Group Home services for children ages 12 to 17 removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect in need of Foster Care.

Foster care is a temporary custody arrangement in which a child is placed with caring individuals provide for the care of a child or children whose birthparent is unable to care for them. Foster care is not where juvenile delinquents go. It is where children go when their parents cannot, for a variety of reasons, care for them.

Children in FCF's care typically stay for six months although some children have stayed for many years until they transition to independence.

FCF is always in need of both in-kind and monetary donations to help our mission and also offers volunteer opportunities throughout the year. If you want to get involved with Friends, send an email to info@friendscf.org or call 407-273-8444.

FCF also accepts monetary donations as well as gently used clothing and furniture, canned and boxed goods, hygiene products, and more.
