What a difference a day makes. Yesterday at 2:00 PM the National Hurricane Center published a map showing Hurricane Matthew would pass well east of Florida.
Then, at 5:00 PM the update forecast showed the track could come much closer to Florida.
This morning the 5:00 AM forecast shows that Florida's Atlantic coast will likely experience hurricane-force winds later this week. Gale-force winds are now being predicted for Apopka.
Florida Governor Scott yesterday declared a State of Emergency for the entire state because the forecast track of the Hurricane had drifted to the west. The forecast track now call for Matthew to be 80 to 100 miles offshore at 2:00 AM on Friday morning.
