The 2016 Apopka City Council Candidate Forum took place last night at The CPS Sportsplex before a crowd of over 300. Despite the rainy night, Apopkans filled the Sportsplex meeting venue and listened as six candidates began to un-package their visions for the future of Apopka.
The Forum was split into two sessions between the six candidates.
The first session pitted Seat #3 incumbent Sam Ruth against challengers Doug Bankson and Alice Nolan. Seat #4 incumbent Bill Arrowsmith faced off against challengers Kyle Becker and Young Kim in the second session of the evening.
The questions covered a wide range of issues including the proposed City Center proposal, single member districts, taxes, and the Apopka Community Redevelopment Area.
