The Apopka Blue Darters, coming off a 52-14 victory over the Evans Trojans, maintained their #9 ranking in the Class 8A Associated Press Top 10 poll. The Wekiva Mustangs, on the other hand, fell to #6 (from #2) after a 30-29 loss to the West Orange Warriors last Friday.
Both Apopka and Wekiva are in action again this Friday. The Blue Darters (5-1) host Jacksonville Mandarin at Roger Williams Field on the campus of Apopka High School, while Wekiva (4-1) travels to Orlando to play against defending state champion, Dr. Phillips.
Both games are scheduled to kickoff at 7 PM on Friday and admission is $6.
