Sonny's BBQ Commits to Fourth Sponsorship with Habitat for Humanity

Women Build is an event held in the spring of every year, during which, teams of local women and partners come together to build stronger, safer communities. This year, Habitat Seminole-Apopka’s Women Build project will take place in two locations: one in our Juniper Bend neighborhood in Apopka, and one on Summerset Terrace in Casselberry, where these volunteer teams will build alongside other volunteers from the community as well as the Habitat home’s future owner.

Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka has completed more than 170 homes throughout the community. Through the use of donations, in-kind gifts and volunteer labor, Habitat builds simple, decent, efficient homes which are sold to low-income families in the community at no profit and financed with an affordable mortgage. Homebuyers contribute sweat equity helping to build their home as well as homes of other Habitat families.
