Something Fishy supports two Apopka Charities

If you love seafood, you need to check out Apopka's newest seafood restaurant, Something Fishy.

Something Fishy is owned and operated by Patrice and Terence Phillips. The Grand Opening Fish Fry is set for April 23-24.

Something Fishy is a reflection of the Phillip family's gatherings and celebrations over the years. The menu offers a variety of selections including Fish Tacos and Crab Cakes.

Terence said "We wanted our menu to be a little bit different, we add a little flair and offer some salads, fresh seafood that's grilled, seared and of course fried. We are also looking to add gluten free options to our menu as well."

This a new endeavour for the entire Phillip's family. Terence and Patrice have been married for 21 years. They moved from Buffalo, New York to Apopka 9 years ago with their three children Gabrielle 25, Kenneth 21, and Christopher 13. Terence and Patrice are originally from Bayside, New York. Terence worked at the Greater Orlando Airport in Telecommunications, but always had the desire and dream to own his own restaurant. After 8 years of working at the airport, Terence resigned from his job.

With love, encouragement and help from family and friends, Terence is now living his dream by opening Something Fishy. Patrice works at Grace Medical Home which is a for non-profit organization that specializes in providing medical care for the working uninsured. Their three children work for Dad at the restaurant.

Something Fishy has selected two local charities to support. The New Journey Youth Center in Apopka and Lift Disability Network will receive a portion of their monthly sales for the entire year. Patrice Phillips said " Our restaurant allows us the opportunity to give back to the community. We will be hosting meet and greet networking events at Something Fishy so we can connect with the community and showcase the charities we support."

Stop in. Enjoy Something Fishy. And support a local charity.

Something Fishy is in the Wekiva Riverwalk (2107 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703).
