Ah, yes, childhood memories! As children we all lived in spacious houses and our yards and nearby fields and streams were populated with all manner of exotic beast and nefarious outlaws that provided almost infinite chances for adventure! When I went back to visit those places as an adult, I was crushed to learn someone had stolen them and left tiny ordinary things in their place! I am thankful to be able to remember how it once was!

Ellen White's observation reminds me of one of my peeves. We tell our children about Santa Clause, they can see him at the mall, we tell our kids about the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, and then they grow up and learn it is all false! We also tell our children about Jesus and are shocked when they grow up and lose interest!
