Looking forward to the grand opening. I want to see what it is all about. When Winn Dixie used to be in the plaza there ( Wekiva Riverwalk) they had the coolest thing I have ever seen in a grocery store produce section. When you were walking by shopping, first you would see the flashing of lights ( the "lightning") next the audio recording of thunder, then the greens would get a misting spraying of water ( the "rain") and a recording of the song, "Singing in the Rain" would play! I loved it! I hope Sprouts can impress me...lol. I finally went and visited a Whole Food grocery. It was okay, but too pricey for my tastes. They did have a lot of fruits and veggies I have never seen, especially all kinds of crazy tomatoes, that I wouldn't buy, but hey, each to their own. I like flounder, and almost fell out when the fillets were priced at $ 22.99 a pound! Guess my husband and I need to go catch some at the coast, like we used to do. The Apopka Farmer's Market at night, is a strange concept to me, I am used to farmer's markets early in the mornings. One night, we walked around in the park, and one vendor didn't have any light, when trying to sell produce. Oh well. Trader Joe's, I have been there, but couldn't find any parking spots. Someone told me that a Krogers is going in on 436 across from Arby's, but I think it is going to be something else, because I read Kroger doesn't have brick and mortar stores in Fl., just delivery. Maybe some of you all aren't excited about an upscale version of Winn Dixie, at the city center, but I am. I like Winn Dixie.
