From the City of Apopka
The Apopka Youth Council (AYC) is comprised of civic-minded high school students that have expressed an interest in local government. Members learn about local government, identify ways to improve Apopka for its youth, recommend and/or create activities that will appeal to Apopka youth, and participate in community events.
Online registration is available through September 7th, 2021. A resume and Recommendation letter are required.
According to the City website, members of the AYC will learn about local government, identify ways to improve Apopka for its youth, recommend and/or create activities that will appeal to Apopka youth, and participate in community events.
This group is educated on City operations and performs service projects throughout the year.

Enrolled in 9th through 12th grade at an Apopka area high school or home school
Must have a 3.0 GPA
Be civic-minded
Must commit to attending monthly AYC meetings and participate in community events

The AYC is a City-funded council composed of Apopka area high school students.
