You can't keep a good vampire down...

Three weeks ago the Apopka High School drama department performed Nosferatu: The Legend of Dracula. The play was a huge success.

On Wednesday, February 24, Erin Miner, Apopka High School’s Drama teacher was shocked when she received an email from L. Don Swartz, the playwright himself of Nosferatu: The Legend of Dracula.

Mr. Swartz had seen a picture of the poster for the play and contacted Erin to get a copy for himself. L. Don Swartz said, “I saw your poster for my play "Nosferatu: The Legend of Dracula: and I love it! Any chance I can get a copy? I would love to hang it up in my theatre.”

Erin not only emailed a copy of the poster but included pictures of her students performing throughout the production to share with the playwright.

After receipt of her email, once again, the Mr. Swartz took the time to respond, saying, “Thank you so much for sharing the pictures of your production. Wow! I love the set, the costumes, the lights. It looks like an amazing production.”

Erin said “I have worked in theatre for 55+ years and this is first time a playwright has taken time to reach out and contact me. It was a really neat experience for the cast and crew! I am extremely proud of my students and the work they do!”

Needless to say, Erin put an original poster in the mail to L. Don Swartz.
