Pet Supermarket teams up with US War Dogs Association for Patriotic Pets campaign

Limited-edition bandanas are available for purchase from Independence Day to Patriot Day benefitting four-legged heroes

To show support for the sacrifices the service war dogs make for our country, Pet Supermarket, a premium pet store with over 200 locations throughout the Southeast U.S., is partnering with the United States War Dogs Association for their fourth annual “Patriotic Pets” campaign.

From July 4th through Patriot Day, September 11th, Pet Supermarket will donate proceeds from the sales of their $5 limited-edition patriotic bandanas to the United States War Dogs Association. Stores will also display decorative “paper paws” to represent donations from customers to the fundraiser.

“We believe in the mission of the U.S. War Dogs and we are proud to facilitate efforts with our customers to help our military canines be equipped while on active duty,” said Frank Morales, director of marketing at Pet Supermarket. “This fundraiser is our way to encourage the community to give back to the four-legged service members helping to protect our country.”

Donations from the fundraiser not only contribute to covering the costs of equipment for the dogs on active duty, but they also help cover the costs of transporting veteran war dogs back to the U.S. after service, reuniting them with their former service member handlers, finding them forever homes, and providing free medications and care to both active and retired Military War Dogs.

“The United States War Dogs Association, Inc. is able to pay for the prescriptions and other expensive medical care for our retired Military War Dogs, thanks to our relationship with Pet Supermarket,” said Ron Aiello, president of the United States War Dogs Association.

Since the campaign’s inception in 2016, Pet Supermarket has raised a total of $810,981 for the United States War Dogs Association.
