Early morning shooting in South Apopka ends in fatality

On a street in South Apopka notorious for violence two people were shot, one of them killed, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found one person sitting in a car on the 600 block of East 13th Street in South Apopka with multiple gunshot wounds just after 7 a.m.. Orange County deputies also learned a second person had entered a hospital with non-life threatening gunshot injuries. Deputies believe this was not a random act of violence and that the two people shot are connected with the same shooting incident.

The incident is under investigation.
