Alice Nolan surprised everyone on Election Day with a 2,148 vote performance against Commissioner Sam Ruth and Doug Bankson in the Seat #3 election. She made a name for herself in Apopka politics and hinted at future runs for elected office.
“I would like to thank Apopka for the hard work each one of you have put into this election season. It showed in our numbers and I could not be anymore proud to call Apopka home. I will continue focusing my time on all of Apopka. I am very proud of my campaign and excited to see what is on the horizon.”
Yesterday she took the next step by endorsing candidates in the two runoff elections for Seats #3 and #4 in the Apopka City Commission elections.
In Seat #3 she endorsed Doug Bankson and had this statement:
“After much thought and deliberation, taking into serious consideration my strong heartfelt belief in family, faith and the good people of Apopka. My desire for what’s best for Apopkans is my sole priority and selfless endeavor as it was for the many Apopka supporters who energized me and my family every day leading up to the March 15th elections. I am a proud 6th generation Apopkan raising the 7th generation of my family and takethis honor seriously. I endorse you as the best candidate in the City of Apopka seat three (3) run off to assist in unifying our community and would humbly encourage the good citizens of the City of Apopka to galvanize their support of you and exercise their right to vote on April 12th.”
In Seat #4 she endorsed Commissioner Bill Arrowsmith and had this statement:
“Apopka seat four (4) runoff election on April 12th. I have the utmost confidence in your ability to continue to navigate Apopka’s business growth and community development. Based on your invaluable business banking experience and your close community ties, I sincerely believe that you understand the pulse of Apopkans. I believe that the City of Apopka is in a critical time in our history and will desperately need an independent voice of reason on the City of Apopka commission as we transform and diversify into the future. I would ask that the citizens of our precious city to join me in supporting Bill Arrowsmith to unify Apopka, a place that we can be proud of living, working, enjoying and raising our families.”
