2-1 Wekiva takes on 2-1 Timber Creek Wolves

The Wekiva High School Mustangs return home tonight and hope to keep a streak alive that they extended last week at University High School in Orlando.

Versatile senior quarterback Ben Williams threw for a touchdown pass, ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass to lead the Mustangs to a 35-2 victory over University for their second straight win. Senior quarterback Trey McGee also threw for 2 touchdowns as Wekiva ran off five unanswered touchdowns after falling behind 2-0 at the end of the first quarter.

New_Timber_creek_logoSenior running back Jaylon Fair led the way on the ground with 50 rushing yards, including a run of 21 yards. Senior Wide Receiver Wesly Touze also caught alumni_Logotwo touchdown passes and had 59 receiving yards. The previous week Wekiva defeated Boone High School 28-21.

The Mustangs (2-1) take on the Timber Creek High School Wolves (2-1) tonight at Wekiva High School in hopes of extending their two-game winning streak to three. The Wolves are also on a two-game winning streak after defeating East River High School 28-15 last week and Oak Ridge High School 44-0 the week before. The game starts at 7PM.

Last season, Wekiva defeated Timber Creek 26-9.
