Moore announces several endorsements

Christine Moore, the incumbent candidate for the District 7 seat of the Orange County School Board, announced six endorsements over the past few weeks for her re-election bid. Moore is challenged by Isadora Dean, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Laura Rounds. District 7 includes all of Apopka. Dean and Fitzpatrick are from Apopka. Rounds is from Winter Garden.

According to Moore’s press release, The Central Florida Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC PAC), Business FORCE, Orlando Regional Realtor Association, Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, West Orange Political Alliance, and the Conservative Ministers of Central Florida have all endorsed her.

ABC PAC, said of Moore, “We have appreciated your leadership and support for career and technical training, and for the capital expansion and renovation of the district’s schools.”

BusinessFORCE further explained their endorsement, “Christine Moore is committed to building partnerships with the business community to attract new industries to Orange County as well as developing job training at technical colleges that best prepares our workforce for an emerging high-tech economy.”

Orlando Regional Realtor Association congratulated her on supporting real estate issues and having a pro-business agenda.

Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association “enthusiastically supports” Christine Moore and the West Orange Political Alliance felt she was the “most suitable candidate to lead the way for west Orange County”.

Moore is running for her third term. Election Day for the OCPS Board District 7 seat is August 30th. If no candidate receives a majority of the votes, the top two candidates will runoff against each other on November 8th.
