This Monday on LET’S TALK ABOUT IT with Rod Love and Greg Jackson, the “Dynamic Duo” is on the Final Round of the Apopka City Commission Candidate Showcase, as we welcome Suzanne Kidd (Seat #1) and Alice Nolan (Seat #2) into the studio to discuss their vision for the second largest municipality in Orange County. Reggie Connell, the Managing Editor of The Apopka Voice will also be on hand to interview the candidates.

Suzanne Kidd

But, before Apopka politics, the two hosts will discuss the landmark proposal by Florida Governor Rick Scott to change gun laws in the state and allocate $500-million towards school safety. It is a bit interesting why some oppose this move, but, Rod and Greg will try to make sense of it all. This is not just a Florida issue, but an issue bound for national debate and possibly the U.S. Supreme Court as gun rights advocates may view this as an assault on the 2nd Amendment.

  1. I was doing something else, and just tuned in a few minutes ago, and what did I hear on the radio show? I heard ” I have attended every council meeting, planning commission” and blah, blah, blah, etc. Please, I beg, give Sue Kidd a brownie button, or attendance certificate with a star on it, in recognition of her attendance, at the next council meeting, as I am sick of hearing this old worn out boasting over and over like a broken record……who cares???

  2. Reggie, I heard you speaking on the radio before, and I thought you sound youthful. What age are you, Reggie, if you don’t mind my asking?….LOL…… Alice Nolan has it right…..she is talking about Apopka, and focused on Apopka! Alice LOVES Apopka!

  3. For real? The CRA meeting is at 5:00pm on Wed. Feb. 28th, 2018, and the Apopka City Commissioner debate for Seat #1 is the same date from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm?????? Why was this scheduled on this day, at that time????? Looks very devious to me. What if the current Apopka City Commissioners wanted to attend the debate? I guess they would be out of luck. What if a citizen wanted to attend both events???? I guess if you go to the CRA meeting, you wouldn’t get a seat at the debate at Highland Manor, or if the CRA meeting goes overtime, like the last CRA meeting, you would miss the debate……so here is what I have for the person or people who planned this together at the almost same time and date… is my rotten tomatoes and I am hurling them right here, right now, from this website!!!
